Facilities Expenses - Housekeeper

Located in Tuskegee, AL, Sequel of Tuskegee is a 41-bed residential treatment center that serves youth between the ages of 11 and 18 with emotional and behavioral disorders.

The Janitor/Maintenance Assistant will assist the Facilities Manager with maintenance of the physical building/campus to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff and visitors at Sequel of Tuskegee.

Duties include:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Performs some general carpentry, plumbing and construction work.
• Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.
• Maintains campus inside and outside.
• Assist with the maintaining of repairs of the facility.
• Strip, buff, and wax floors
• Inspects and repairs any damage to hallways, walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and client rooms.
• Landscape and playground maintenance.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Minimum of 1 year of related maintenance experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Must be able to work flexible hours; communicate needs in a clear direct manner; and be dependable and organized.
