We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide dependable technical assistance for end users in an onsite, fast-paced investment banking environment. This long-term contract position is ideal for a hands-on candidate who enjoys solving workstation, account, and device-related issues while delivering responsive support. The role requires strong communication, practical troubleshooting ability, and experience supporting core Microsoft technologies in a user-facing setting.Responsibilities:• Provide day-to-day desktop and help desk support for employees, resolving hardware, software, and access-related issues in a timely manner.• Manage user accounts, security groups, and computer objects within Active Directory to support onboarding, changes, and issue resolution.• Support Office 365 administration tasks, including maintaining user access, license assignments, and group membership updates.• Assist with basic Microsoft Intune activities such as user and device administration, enrollment support, and troubleshooting endpoint issues.• Diagnose and resolve problems across Windows-based systems, including Windows 10 environments, peripherals, and common workplace applications.• Handle service desk tickets efficiently by documenting issues, prioritizing requests, and communicating progress clearly to end users.• Prepare, organize, deploy, and relocate equipment as needed, including connecting devices, managing cables, and setting up workstations.• Work proactively to identify recurring technical issues and help improve support processes through practical problem-solving and follow-through.
